About us

We are women in senior positions in:

  • Biotech und pharma companies
  • Biotechnology-related companies such as venture capital companies, management consultancies and service providers
  • Public and academic institutions such as ministries, associations and higher education institutions

The Women Managers Network was established in 2002 under the umbrella of the VBU - Association of German Biotechnology Companies in DECHEMA e.V.

Our goals

We initiate business contacts, exchange personal experiences as professionals and managers with different professional backgrounds and offer a platform for discussions and cooperation. Informal networking is in the foreground. We are interested in the greatest possible diversity of our members in order to provide a broad basis for the transdisciplinary exchange of experience. Accordingly, our network is continuously being expanded.

Activities

The Women Managers Network usually meets twice a year, once at DECHEMA in Frankfurt am Main. The second annual meeting takes place at a host member of our network in order to get to know the local environment. Speakers are invited on selected topics and we live an active discussion culture with all participants. In addition, we exchange information about our own professional activities and offer plenty of space for networking. We also organise virtual events such as the competence exchanges.

Would you like to get in touch with us, be invited or actively participate?
